Hogs & Hulas Fundraiser

​

Hogs & Hulas is one of our fundraising events generally held the third week in September. This outdoor Hawaiian themed fundraiser is held at Yuba County's Sycamore Ranch located just 10 miles from Marysville. Music, dancing, raffles, and a great Hawaiian styled dinner are the central features of this event. Camping is available for those who wish to make it a night away from home.

Annual Spring Fundraiser

Each spring, usually in April we host a major fundraising event under a variety of themes. This year's event is a golfing fundraising event, "Spring Swing For Kids". There will be a host of activities which include a games on the course, prizes, raffle and more.  The event will be hosted at Plumas Lake Golf Course. Save the Date! Youth Fishing Derby​

​

This FREE fishing derby is open to all children four to 15 years of age and is held on the third or second weekend in May. It is held at Ellis Lake in Marysville. There is a free pancake breakfast for all participants and their families. Children have an opportunity to win a bike for the largest fish caught or a raffle prize, fish, play games and enjoy a day out with thier families. HOOKED ON FISHING NOT ON DRUGS.

Bring Up Grades (BUGS) Program

Bring Up Grades (BUGs) is a program designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades into an acceptable range and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next. Recognition includes being placed on the school’s BUG Honor Roll; an ice cream social, presentation of certificates and buttons and a bicycle for five participating students who showed the most improvement in their grades.

Pancake Breakfasts

The Kiwanis Club of Marysville is well known for it's pancake breakfasts. The club assists schools, other organization and events by cooking a great breakfast of pancakes and sausages to help support the event. Some of the events it has supported are the Covillaud and Cedar Lane schools breakfast with Santa. Marysville Fire Department, and many more.

Scholarship Program

The Kiwanis Club of Marysville offers eight scholarships of $500.00 to Marysville and Lindhurst High school students every year. (See Events Tab for scholarship application and details).
